Abstract
The electric rotary mashines have to be up to standards of safety, reliability and efficiency. This article discusses the measurement of 6 kV coil of an induction motor. Two measurements were made on the reel and then the measurements were compared. The first measurement was to simulate the stator grooves with a conductive mesh around the stator slot and second measurement was to simulate the stator grooves on four points. The measurements were carried out using isothermal relaxation current analysis (IRC analysis), which is one-way non-destructive measurement method.
