Abstract

The submitted article deals with issues of the reliability in power systems focusing on the field of empirical reliability. The main intent of thesis was to analyze the failures recorded in databases of the real distribution grid not from the physical point, but from the statistical point of view. Based on the available failures data as well as the age of failed devices it is possible to describe mathematical dependencies of the failures probability on the age by using the suitable mathematical probability model. The additional important characteristic indication of distribution grid’s devices is their technical condition. By analogy it is possible to define the functional failures dependencies on the device‘s condition. The results it is possible to use as the supporting items for solving the questions of long-term grid development with the focus on the reliability indices estimation in the future.
